Evangelia Koutsodimou
Evangelia Koutsodimou was born in Greece in 2002. She is a graduate of the Department of Music Science and Art at the University of Macedonia, where she specialized in Violin Performance under the guidance of Dimitris Chandrakis.
She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the program “Sciences and Arts” at the same institution. She has attended lessons and masterclasses with distinguished violinists in Greece and abroad (Noé Inui, Katerina Chatzinikolaou, Ilias Livieratos, Andreas Papanikolaou, Kurt Nikkanen, Bartek Niziol, among others) and has received distinctions in numerous competitions, including First Prize at the 4th Panhellenic Competition “Tasos Pappas,” as well as awards in the UNESCO competitions, “Music in the Vineyards,” and “Ilias Kouskouvelis.” She has also been selected for the programs “We Listen to the Young 2025” of the Kalogeropouleio Foundation of Corinth and the 36th cycle “Young Artists for Young Audiences” at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
She has appeared as a soloist with the Athens State Orchestra (in an educational context), the Symphony Orchestra of the Department of Music Science and Art, the Cretan Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Camerata CollectiVa Orchestra. She has been a member and concertmaster of important orchestral ensembles, including the Hellenic Youth Symphony Orchestra (since 2023), the CosmoClassical Youth Orchestra, the Mediterranean Youth Symphony Orchestra (2023–2024), JONDE (Spanish Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Vasily Petrenko, 2025), and has participated in an international collaboration with the University of Delaware, MOYSA, and the Department of Music Science and Art. Since August 2024, she has been a permanent member of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra (first violins).
She has participated in music festivals such as the Samos Young Artist Festival 2025, AIMA Music Festival, the 10th International Molyvos Festival, the Chamber Music Academy in Heiligenberg, ECMTA, Reedblocks VI, among others.
