
Angela Giannaki
Angela Giannaki studied violin and viola in Athens and London supported by various scholarships from Greece and England. In 2005-2006 she was a scholar of the International Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt giving numerous concerts in Germany. She has given recitals and chamber music concerts in London (Purcell Room) and in MegaronMousikis Halls in Athens and Thessaloniki. She has collaborated with the British string quartet ‘Allegri’ and she has performed for the British BBC Radio 3. With a special interest in chamber music Angela has taken part in festivals in Scotland, Wales, France, Majorka, Cyprus and Greece. The period 2007-2010 she was the viola of the New Hellenic Quartet with whom she gave numerous concerts in Greece, Europe and Turkey and made several recordings. As soloist she has performed with Camerata Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of Colours and the Municipality Orchestra of Athens. Angela holds the position of principal viola at the orchestra of Greek National Opera.
