Daniela Damianova

Daniela Damianova was born in Bulgaria. She studied piano at the Music Academy in Sofia (class of Stella Dimitrova), at the University of Music and Perform- ing Arts in Vienna (class Wolfgang Watzinger) and in Sibelius Academy in Helsinki with Erik T. Tawaststjerna. She was a fellow of the Yehudi Menuhin Founda- tion and Vienna Beethoven Society. She has excelled in national and international piano competitions in Bulgaria, Germa- ny, Austria and Spain (interna- tional competition Albert Roussel-Sofia, Vienna Interna- tional Piano Academy Competi- tion, etc.) and has been honored with the special award for vocal chamber music of Brahms Competition in Poertschach Austria. She has collaborated with artists such as famous clarinetists Sharon Kam, Alfred Prince and Peter Schmidl (first clarinetists of the Vienna Philhar- monic), flutist Walter Auer (first flutist of the Vienna Philharmon- ic) and oboist Christian Wetzel. Since 2006 she is a permanent professor at the State Conserva- tory of Klagenfurt (Austria) and since 2009 a permanent lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
