
Odile Ettelt
Odile Ettelt (*1999 in Hamburg) was taught the clarinet from an early age by
her father Odilo Ettelt and later received private instruction from Prof.
Gaspare Buonomano. Already at the age of 11 years, she was awarded a first prize
at the national level of the German
„Jugend Musiziert“ Competition. She also received a second prize at the Samnium
International Clarinet Competition in Italy.
In 2017, Odile began her undergraduate studies at the Mozarteum university of
Salzburg with Prof. Andreas Schablas. She now continues her studies pursuing a
Master’s degree in Berlin, under the guidance of Prof. Martin Spangenberg und
Prof. Ralf Forster.
Odile received additional musical impulses studying abroad in the Amsterdam
studio of Prof. Arno Piters, as well as in masterclasses with clarinet soloists
such as Sabine Meyer, Kilian Herold, Thomas Holzmann and Pascal Moragues.
As a soloist, Odile has performed with the Bremen State Youth Orchestra,
Concerto Elmshorn, the Freising Chamber Orchestra and the Festival Orchestra of
the „Musikalischer Sommer in Ostfriesland“.
Parallel to her studies, Odile is already an in-demand guest musician, playing
regularly as a substitute with renowned groups such as the Konzerthausorchester
Berlin, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the
Kammerakademie Postdam.
She also has a passion for historically informed performance practice and has
played in period instrument ensembles including the Lautten Compagney, the
Hofkapelle Stuttgart, the Elbipolis Barockorchester Hamburg und the Akademie für
Alte Musik Berlin.
In May 2025, Odile commenced a two-year scholarship at the
Giuseppe-Sinopoli-Academy of the Staatskapelle Dresden.
